LITTLE RIVER COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

August 17th, 2002 Disaster Training at Patterson Shoals on Little River. The focus of this exercise was a mock passenger plane crash involving many injuries and chemical or fuel spills from the crashed aircraft, This exercise involved land and water search and rescue. The aim of the training is to develope a quick and effective response capability in the face of a major emergency where many agencies would be involved which includes the Arkansas State Police, Little River County Law Enforcement, County Fire Departments, Life Net, The Red Cross, Little River Memorial Hospital, The Little River County Office of Emergency Management and others.
